Over the next two years, I aim to gain further experience assisting within the subsidised theatre sector, direct my own fringe-scale productions . To achieve this, I will actively build my professional network by meeting and collaborating with directors, producers and other theatre-makers, seeking opportunities to observe rehearsal processes and learn from experienced practitioners. I will continue to develop my own directing practice by creating independent work, attending workshops and engaging with current theatre to broaden my understanding of different approaches to making performance. Within five years, I hope to have established a consistent career as a director, balancing my own projects with assistant directing opportunities on larger-scale productions. Through continued collaboration, professional development and practical experience, I aim to build a sustainable career that allows me to work across both plays and musical theatre while continually refining my artistic practice.

Alongside my personal career ambitions, I hope to contribute to a theatre industry that is increasingly collaborative, inclusive and sustainable. Throughout my training I have become increasingly aware of the importance of creating rehearsal environments in which artists feel empowered to take creative risks whilst feeling supported and respected. As I continue my career, I aim to champion these values in my own practice by fostering open communication, encouraging collaboration across all departments and recognising the contributions of every member of a creative team. I also hope to support the development of emerging artists by creating opportunities for new voices and maintaining the spirit of generosity, curiosity and shared learning that has shaped my own training. In doing so, I aspire not only to develop as a director, but to contribute positively to the culture of the theatre industry and the experiences of those working within it.
